Me describiría a mi mismo como

I'm a, soon to be 60, divorced mother of three grown children and grandmother to five awesome grandchildren ages 7 to 14. Why am I on Match? Hmmmm good question...I was married for 23 years to my high school sweetheart and we eventually grew apart due to his job, as much as anything. I don't hate him, he was and is a good person but we should have stayed friends and not lovers but then I wouldn't have my fantastic kids. He remarried many years ago and our blended families actually do get together on some of the holidays. My kids, dogs and friends mean the world to me. After our divorce I got into another long term relationship that has just ended after 19 years. It was never a normal relationship anyway and I was a fool but that is water under the bridge. I'm really gunshy when it comes to dating or getting involved with anyone. I really am only looking for a friend. Someone I can talk to and do things with, occassionally. I am very independent but extremely passionate and loyaI and a bit of a challenge :-) I'm DEFINITELY not here to find a "hook up". For obvious reasons, the next guy I let into my life will have to be friends first and then we'll let nature take its course but I am NOT rushing into anything. I'm not getting any younger and I do miss the companionship but I've learned that it is better to be alone than to give your heart and soul to a relationship only to have it end. I love a variety of different things and have no problem in trying something new. I'm very easy going and adaptable. I am definitely not a high maintenance chick. I hate shopping and will do just about anything to get out of having to go to a mall. I love being in the great outdoors and prefer the spring and summer to fall and winter. I love many different types of music from country to classic rock and even jazz when the mood calls for it. I try to go out with a couple of girlfriends one or two nights a week and country dance. I have precious little time these days because I moved in with my 89 year old mother, after my Dad passed away, 4 years ago. I'm an only child so I did what had to be done. I have worked for the same Heat & Air company for over 20 years and it is about 40 miles away from where I live so I pretty much spend two hours a day in traffic. I love watching sporting events but especially College Football, the OKC Thunder and Nascar. While married I lived in a house divided as two of my children are die hard Oklahoma Sooner fans and now so are my four granddaughters...my youngest daughter, the rebel of the family, and my only grandson bleeds Oklahoma State Orange and since she went to college there, and my money is still paying for it, I've become a BIG Cowboy fan myself but I do try and be respectful of my Sooner friends. My friends would describe me as loyal, fun-loving and somewhat mischievious. I truly try to live by the golden rule and treat others as I'd like to be treated. I also try and live each day to the fullest...life is too short to take seriously all the time. I'm a very open person so if there is something you want to know just ask.

A caring, sensitive person who is emotionally available who isn't afraid to let his feelings known. Someone who is proud to be seen with me and I them. Not into control freaks. I believe women were made to walk beside a man, not in front of or behind. Someone who is there through the good and the bad. Someone who loves to dance and go out once in a while. You get what you give. Easy on the eyes is always a plus :-)
