I am not your typical farmer now a days. Kinda more like how grandparents farmed. I work at an organic produce farm. Lots of hand picking and less tractor work. I like being sore and exhausted by the time I head in. I'm vegetarian (17+ years) and agnostic (10+ years). I studied philosophy and computer networking in college. I don't do much with either anymore. I love learning new ideas and developing more skills. I have worn lots of different hats but plan on trying to make it as a farmer. I grew up in the country but have only been working on farm the last 7 years. I work farmer's market every Saturday from May until November so not a ton of free time. It's hard to get workers the last few years. Enough about work. Interests include but not limited to, music, bikes, camping, cooking, hiking, and being goofy. I enjoy spending time with family and friends outdoors. Music mainly outlaw and traditional country. I can't stand the pop crap that plays on "county" radio stations. I also like funk, rock and roll, some jazz, folk... even some pop. I'm looking for someone smart. Someone with a backbone and passion. Someone who appreciates hard work and those who have a labor of love and a love of labor. I'm looking for someone to be a partner just as much as lover. I don't mind doing some dishes and cooking if you don't mind helping build up a wood pile or pulling weeds in a garden. I'm not looking for a 1950's house wife. I wash up pretty well and want to spend evenings listening to your thoughts and feelings snuggled up in front of a fire. Some nights dance party, others back scratches and car races or whatever you want to do. Like I said, I'm looking for a partner to share a life with. You scratch my back I'll scratch yours. Thanks for reading all of this and putting in the effort to try and find someone. I feel it's weird and hard no a days. The vegetarian thing not a must. It's definitely easier to only have make one meal but I'm not anti other folks eating meat, just my personal choice. The atheist bit is a lot harder of a thing to not share. Big enough for thousands of pounds hand picked tomatoes a week along with 50-60 other crops. Sometimes feels too big.
