Not so usual

Ich würde mich selbst beschreiben als

I would describe myself as colorful & feisty. I like to plan ahead, but am never opposed to spontaneity. I'm a veterinary technician by trade and am currently a year away from getting my second bachelor's in nursing. Human medicine pays more, but my heart belongs to caring for animals. My favorite types for books are fantasy. Favorite authors include Anne Bishop, Anne Rice, Kate Forsyth, Terry Pratchett, etc, but I also enjoy WWZ and Pride and Prejudice. I like to write short stories and aspire to complete a novel someday. I'm also keen on keeping up with daily events & love to debate newspaper articles over coffee and breakfast. I consider myself somewhat artistic which includes doodling in my notes, painting, sewing, and beading. I have been known to make my own jewelry, clothes, and renaissance costumes. I even worked as a paid actress in the performance company at the Texas Renaissance Festival for a few seasons. A geek to the core, I like to game every once in a while and I still have a small graphic novel collection. If you challenge me to a console game I find my button mashing to be thoroughly effective. I have a love of all types of old & new movies. 10 points if you know who Joss Whedon is & can name something other than Avengers.....while an incredible movie, he has better, believe it or not. I like to spend time in my garden and playing with my animals. I am developing a green thumb through my small raised bed and the art of container gardening. One day I hope to own a little hobby farm. I like to go hiking, camping, swimming, bicycling, and running. I'm picking up archery as well if anyone would like to coach me. I do not follow sports, but prefer to play them. I also enjoy dancing and almost any kind of music. I like to eat clean, healthy food and would like to find someone else who keeps to a healthy lifestyle. You don't have to be a gym rat, I personally prefer any type of workout but going to the gym. If you made it this far, send me more than a generic message for I am more likely to respond.
